Retaining Walls/Reinforced Slopes
Tensar International Corporation offers a variety of cost-effective solutions for sites with challenging grade changes.

Mesa® Retaining Wall Systems provide a positive, mechanical connection and are typically utilized on commercial, industrial and residential projects as well as highway and rail projects. Mesa Retaining Wall Systems combine the economy and versatility of segmental concrete units with proven geogrid technology to create a new generation of structural block walls – and a new standard in structural wall systems.

The Mesa Systems succeed through a combination of Tensar® Structural Geogrids, high strength concrete units and a unique "locking" connector that creates a positive, mechanical, end-bearing connection. This positive connection assures full load transfer from the wall face to the reinforcement, resulting in unsurpassed reliability.

SierraScape® Retaining Wall System is the only wire-formed retaining wall system with a positive connection between wire form and geogrid reinforcement and is typically utilized on commercial, industrial and transportation applications. There are two different applications within the SierraScape Wire-Formed Retaining Wall System, each providing the owner, architect and engineer a variety of options to fit their specific needs.

With a worldwide installed base of over 8 million square feet, the SierraScape System is a proven solution that adapts to many site conditions, design requirements and aesthetic considerations. Design versatility and ease-of-installation also make it 30% to 60% less expensive than comparable concrete systems.

ARES® Retaining Wall Systems offer a variety of options for commercial, industrial, highway and rail applications. ARES Systems can fall into two main categories – panel walls or two-stage construction walls.

The full height panel, an alternative to metallic reinforced walls, provides one continuous panel, which extends from the top of the leveling pad base to the capping element of choice, such as a coping or traffic barrier.

The ARES Two-Stage Construction Permanent Wall System combines a flexible, settlement tolerant facing element with a permanent Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE) retaining wall design, providing a low-cost, time-saving way to use a surcharge cell to force foundation settlements to occur during construction.

As all ARES Panel Wall Systems incorporate a proven mechanical connection, you are assured long-term durability and structural integrity.

Tensar® Temporary Walls are ideal for maintenance of traffic and staged construction operations, as is often seen during bridge improvements and road widening construction.

Sierra® Slope Retention System is typically used in combination with or in place of retaining walls on commercial, industrial and residential projects, as well as highway projects. The Sierra Slope Retention System provides an economic and aesthetic alternative to conventional retaining walls, replacing them with natural, landscaped, sloping structures almost indistinguishable from the native terrain.
