Tensar Polytechnologies
Tensar Polytechnologies, Inc., headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tensar Corporation. The Company is a leading supplier of OEM fabrication, specialty building and fencing systems using a variety of sophisticated polymer process technologies.

Within the erosion control market, the Company is a principal supplier of lightweight oriented nets to numerous manufacturers on an OEM basis including North American Green, the acknowledged market leader.

Prior to 1989, when it became a wholly owned subsidiary of Tensar Corporation, all sales and marketing activities in the relevant markets were incorporated within the organization of Tensar Corporation. Significant milestones in the Company's history are listed below:

1993   Installation and commissioning of new equipment capable of producing lightweight oriented net products for bedding, furniture and carpet pad applications, using process technology developed by Dr. Brian Mercer, the owner of Netlon Limited.

Tensar Polytechnologies became a principal supplier of lightweight oriented nets for bedding applications to Leggett & Platt, a leading manufacturer of engineered products serving the residential furnishings market.

1997   Acquired and successfully commissioned reciprocating die technology. Commercialization of this Rical technology allows the Company to manufacture another class of integrally formed net structures – formed by extruding a cylindrical tube of open mesh uniplanar polymeric material through reciprocating tubular dies.

1998   Tensar Polytechnologies disposes of its operations serving the retail market. As a consequence of this divestiture, the Company is repositioned as a supplier of bulk products for OEM product fabrication applications. In these applications, its lightweight oriented net products are used to improve the durability, functional performance or cost basis of OEM embodiments manufactured by third parties – for instance, in the manufacture of rolled erosion control blankets and mats, furniture and bedding.

Tensar Polytechnologies becomes a principal supplier of nets to 3M, a diversified technology company serving customers and communities with innovative products and services. The net is used to improve the reflective characteristics of 3M wet reflective sheeting, which is used for traffic lane delineation markers, making them more highly visible at night.

2002   Tensar Polytechnologies becomes a principal supplier of lightweight oriented nets for carpet pad applications to Leggett & Platt, a leading manufacturer of engineered products serving the residential furnishings market.

2004   Tensar Polytechnologies becomes a principal supplier of lightweight oriented nets to North American Green, the market leader in the rolled erosion control market.
